Why Taxi Drivers Never Leave Their Cabs
Published on Tuesday 30 September 2003
Imagine if people weren't waterproof. Disaster! We would all swell up like big fat people when it rained, and then shrivel when it was dry.
On really wet days you wouldn't be able to fit into cars, or lifts, or through particularly narrow gaps of any kind.
But on dry days you would be able to fit several people into telephone boxes, and cues would all be much shorter.
Swimming pools would need very large exits.
Taxi drivers are immune to this effect because they sit in their cabs all the time and never get out, so if you find yourself becomming less water resistant, become a taxi driver quickly. My advice to you all.
