The cause of this anxiety is not, I think, because he has hinted at his belief but more because of his decision to invade Iraq. Had the troops gone in and found WMD all over the place then Mr Blair would now be a hero. Instead we are locked into many years of difficult rebuilding and considerable loss of life.
