Church blaze at Radford Semele

I was rather shocked on Sunday morning to hear that one of my Dad's churches has burnt down.  The blaze was so fierce, all that's left are the stone walls.  At its peak, there were fifty fire-fighters trying to bring the fire under control.

The fire services are still investigating how the fire started, and haven't yet ruled out arson.

My wife and I were looking forward to visiting St. Nicholas Church and grave yard until a friend informed us that it had burnt down. My G.and G.G.Grand fathers were locals in the 18th and 19th centuries and I am curious to find their graves. Is there a book of ” Memorial Inscriptions Of The Church Of St. Nicholas? We were very sorry to hear the news that it was “Arson” we live in Wales and its a long way to travel unless we are certain we will find results. WE are both in our 80s and doing “Family Research. Thank you. Geoff
